Introducing myself, and requesting help!

My name is Chris, and although not visually impaired myself, both my father and grandmother are. My experiences with the impact sight loss has on a person's day to day life have lead to me becoming involved in developing assistive technology for the visually impaired, as well as conducting research into hearing and other senses at De Montfort University in Leicester.
That brings me to the part where I ask for help! I am looking for people who would be willing to spend about 15-30 minutes answering a few questions about how they find their way around, and do things like cross roads. I am really looking to hear about people's personal day-to-day experiences. The only personal information you will be asked for is your age, gender, and whether or not you are visually impaired.
At the moment the survey is what's called "pilot study phase" which means we need to find out if the questions are useful and easy to understand, so I'd like to talk to people either via the telephone (at my expense, of course!) or via Skype or FaceTime on a computer so that I can ask you the questions myself, and also ask you if they were any good!
If you would like more information, or would like to volunteer then please message or reply to this post to let me know. You will never be obliged to take part even if you have previously said that you are interested, and you are always free to change your mind later.
Thanks for reading this long post!
