The mission of South Texas Lighthouse for the Blind is to employ, educate, and empower people who are blind or visually impaired.

Programs and services include:

• Adaptive Technology: Talking Typing Teacher, Zoomtext, JAWS, MAGic, Office 2007, Internet Explorer, Open Book, Hadley School for the Blind
• Orientation and Mobility
• Manufacturing operations centers produce a variety of products for the Federal government under the Javits-Wagner-O'Day (JWOD) program.
