The National Vision Rehabilitation Association [link opens in new window] (NVRA) was launched recently to advance independence and quality of life for people who are blind or partially sighted. Its goal is to expand access to professional vision rehabilitation services. NVRA grew out of the National Vision Rehabilitation Cooperative and will carry forward the Cooperative's initiative to obtain Medicare coverage for vision rehabilitation services, among other goals. The web site will?provide updates about progress in developing legislation to?secure permanent Medicare coverage for vision rehabilitation services.
