The Lighthouse for the Blind of Greece is a non-profit association that is subsidized and overseen by the Ministry of Public Health and Social Solidarity (Welfare). Founded in 1946, the goals of the Lighthouse are to support blind individuals; reduce the consequences from vision loss; and raise awareness of the public and the State about the problems that blind persons face.

Services include training and rehabilitation center for the visually impaired; lending library with braille and audio books; braille printing center; audio books recording studio; metal works unit; ceramics workshop; gymnasium and workout areas; tactual museum.
