I don't read much, but would learning braille help me make shopping lists and notes to myself?
Braille ("What is Braille?") can be used for shopping or other lists, personal notes and labeling. For these tasks, learning the Alphabetic Braille and numbers may be all that is needed. If you use this level of braille successfully, you may choose to learn more and progress into Literary Braille.
Alternatively you might want to think about recording your lists or notes on to cassette tapes; using a magnifier, if possible, to read large print, or look at other options (see Technology).
