How can I play Bingo when I can't read the numbers?
Large Print or Braille Bingo Cards
Ask the Bingo Coordinator if large print or braille bingo cards are available. (If not, you might want to suggest they start to offer such options. There may be many people playing Bingo who would appreciate these options.)? A variety of large print cards are available (for example, go to large print Bingo cards at Independent Living.com), [link opens in new window]?and many larger bingo events may have them just for the asking. Consider bringing your own large print cards. Smaller bingo events such as those offered at neighborhood churches or clubs may permit you to bring your own if you pay the same playing fee.?

- Sit where there is shadow-free natural or artificial light.
- Use contrasting bingo markers that cover all of the number to reduce visual clutter when scanning your cards during play.
- Play with your grandchildren or a couple of close friends to familiarize yourself with the game again.
- Ask a friend to play with you and help you scan the cards. Together you can split the winnings!
