Enlarge patterns on a copier or use computer software.
Look into commercially available kits that are now available with larger patterns and canvases.
Consider using a large canvas size or switching to freeform hand work.
Use a needlework hoop to contain your work. A stand mounted hoop will allow your hands to be free so you could occasionally use a hand magnifier to check your work.
Switch to larger stitches and patterns. This will allow you to check your work visually and tactually with greater ease.
Separate your yarns or threads using ziplock bags. These bags can be easily labeled in large print. Another idea is to use a white plastic cover 8 inches or larger. Punch holes around the rim and use these holes to hang threads and yarn. On the inner portion, you can use a permanent maker to label the colors.
To keep freeform embroidery stitches uniform, use smaller sized hoops for the pattern and move the hoop along as you work. By using the edge to edge of the hoop, your stitches stay equal.
