The Florida Lions Foundation for the Blind, Inc. was founded in 1958 to provide sight care to the needy (such as an individual who needs eye surgery but has no insurance and insufficient funds to pay for the surgery) through the Lions of Florida (Multiple District-35). Later, the Foundation's scope of operations was expanded to include grants to aid Lions-sponsored or Lions-associated sight care related agencies within MD-35.
Funds to support the Foundation’s eye care program are received only through individual club donations, interest from a trust fund, grants, and bequests to the Foundation.
