Services Offered

Services for Adults

  • Advocacy
    • Fosters development of state programs to increase access and acquisition of assistive technology devices for New Yorkers with disabilities.
  • Assistive Products
    • Operates and maintains the TRAID-IN Equipment Exchange program, which is a service for individuals who are looking to sell, donate or obtain used assistive devices for people with disabilities.
  • Financial Assistance
    • Provides partial funding to 12 regional TRAID centers (RTCs) which have equipment loan lending libraries for persons of all disabilities and ages, including infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families.
  • Information and Referral
    • Provides information, training, technical assistance and advocacy on how to obtain and use assistive technology services and devices.
