The American Foundation for the Blind and the Medicare Rights Center are partnering to make it easier for people with vision loss and their families, caregivers, and health professionals to navigate the complexities of Medicare. Medicare Interactive (MI), a free and independent online reference tool powered by Medicare Rights, helps older adults and people with disabilities navigate the complex world of health insurance. Medicare Interactive is packed with hundreds of answers to Medicare questions and helps users to quickly find the Medicare information they need through smart links to relevant MI pages, case examples, and other helpful resources. This information is particularly relevant at this time of year. For 2017 Medicare coverage, open enrollment is in the fall of 2016, from October 15 to December 7. During this annual enrollment period (AEP) you can make changes to various aspects of your coverage. The Medicare Rights Center is offering a series of webinars on Medicare Fall Open Enrollment. The third in the series is October 27.
