Blinded Veterans Association (BVA)
Blinded Veterans Association
is an organization specifically established to promote the welfare of blinded veterans. BVA offers many services to help veterans and their families meet the challenges of blindness. BVA was and is the only veterans service organization exclusively dedicated to serving America's blind and visually impaired veterans. Veterans don't have to lose their vision during military service to qualify for BVA assistance. Membership is not a prerequisite for any service.
The BVA's services include:
- Field Service program that links veterans with services, rehabilitation training and other benefits including employment.
- Volunteer Services whose members demonstrate equipment and aids used by the blind. Volunteers are active in their communities and are good sources of information about local programs and services.
- Scholarships for spouses and dependent children of blinded veterans.
