Unsilenced Dream
http://unsilenceddream.livejournal.com
"This is my life. Take from it what you will. What it means to be me"
Dorrie's Sight
http://dorriessight.blogspot.com
"My vision is affected by a retinal disorder known as Stargardt’s Disease, which results in progressive loss of central vision. Similar in nature to macular degeneration, difficulty reading print, difficulty seeing faces, and, rest assured, I do not drive a car. Having learned well to maximize the vision I have, I am quite able to compensate in numerous ways.... The experience has not been isolating; in fact, quite the opposite: I have vision challenges in common with millions, and this blog is an excellent place to share some great ways to make technology 'easy on the eyes.'"
Stories from the Edge of Blindness
http://floweringink.wordpress.com
"Eight years ago, retinitis pigmentosa changed my life. These are my stories of a slow approach to darkness."

Aaron Scheidies: Blind Triathlete
http://www.cdifferentwithaaron.com
"Aaron Scheidies is a 27-year-old who has overcome more in his short life than many conquer in a lifespan. Born with a hereditary eye condition that slowly deteriorates his central vision, Aaron now has 10% of the vision of a fully sighted person. After battling through hard times in his early teens, Aaron found the sport of triathlon and turned his life around. Beginning with sprint triathlon and continuing up the triathlon pyramid, Aaron is now a four-time triathlon World Champion and five-time National Champion."
Ezzie's World

"My brain needs to analyze somewhere."
Montgomery Sideways: A Pedestrian in Montgomery County
http://montgomerysideways.blogspot.com
"I am a blind guy in Silver Spring, Maryland. A stay-home-dad, who finds himself staying home too much these days... Crossing the street in this town is downright dangerous, most of the time. The simple act of walking down the street can be an ankle-busting experience for anyone - especially a blind guy. I am trying to get some things fixed so that I can go out after my kids go to college - so that I don't become a shut-in. Montgomery County Department of Transportation only responds to complaints, so here I go. I take a camera and video camera with me wherever I go. It helps if I can take an image home with me to see it on a large screen with a zoom. I'll let you see them too."
Learning to Navigate Blindness and Hearing Loss
http://chrissydanielslife.blogspot.com
"I am using this blogging site to keep friends and family informed about my life for the next 7 months or so of blindness training at the Colorado Center for the Blind. I have Usher's Syndrome, which results in hearing loss and progressive vision loss. Now the state of Colorado is paying for me to go through an extensive training program. There will be lots of challenges ahead for me and I am both apprehensive and excited!"
2020 Vision Quest Blog
http://www.2020visionquest.org/Blog

Zip's Dog Blog: Shaking Paws with a New Guide Dog
http://zipdogblog.com
"As my life and the internet both progressed, albeit at different paces, I began my quest for my second Guide Dog at a time when there were not any readily found blogs on the topic. I’d come a long road in life to reach the point I was ready for Quinn and this blog was initially intended as a means to keep folks informed while I traveled to meet the Mighty One and complete our training together."

Sylvia's Guide Dog Tale
http://lighthousepasco.wordpress.com
"I was born with a visual impairment (legally blind-meaning I was extremely near-sighted and it could not be corrected with glasses or medical procedures). But I am very blessed to have parents who just decided to give me the best life they could. My parents were actually told that they should institutionalize me-now can those of you who know me just imagine me in an institution-I would have taken the place over by now…. I decided to BLOG my experience to help inform about disability, the capabilities of persons with disabilities-with the right training/resources, and to help the general community gain a more positive and accepting feeling towards individuals with disabilities."
Blindness Blog
http://www.blindnessblog.blogspot.com
"Blindness Blog is a place where I hope we can learn from each other about how to accomplish tasks using alternative techniques that do not rely on vision. Audrey’s Audities
http://audreysaudities.com
"My name is Audrey. I live in Oklahoma City with my guide dog, Cinnabar and my pointer mix, Horatio. I love sports, especially baseball and University of Tulsa athletics. I also love music, especially punk and ska. I play the viola and am learning to play the guitar. I like TV ok, but have lost a lot of interest in it since losing my vision. I do still dig The Simpsons, partly because it's awesome and partly because I've seen most of the episodes so many times that I can still see them frame by frame in my head so the vision thing doesn't matter that much. I waste most of my free time reading and goofing off on the computer. I also participate in lon distance tandem cycling."
Adapting to Blindness
http://www.andadapt.com
"Beginning the long road to an ultramarathon, with vision loss. Who I will be in the future will hopefully be answered by this very blog in another five years. Just round the corner stands fatherhood, a new career, lifetime achievements in running, and my loss of vision."

Their aim is to raise funds and awareness for sight charities operating both in the United States and the developing world. Losing Vision Gaining Insight: A Journey Into Low Vision Living
http://losingvisiongaininginsight.wordpress.com
"I am a wife and mother of three almost-adult children living in Rochester, NY. Although my vision has never been good, it has deteriorated rapidly in the past year. While looking for positive, proactive ways to deal with transitioning into low vision living, I hit upon the idea of developing a blog to record my experiences."
Blindness Awareness
http://www.blindness-awareness.info
"Blindness-Awareness.info started as a sociology project. However, my husband and I, who are both blind, had been meaning to do something like this for a while. The idea is for sighted and newly blind people to learn about blindness and for blind people to add and contribute to it and provide new information and resources. You know some of the communication problems blind and sighted people have with each other? Well, the idea is maybe one day, a blind person can suggest that a sighted person can take a look at blindness-awareness.info and perhaps some of the surveys, stories, and articles will have a positive influence on their views about blind people."
Raghav’s Blog
http://raghava.in
"I am always thankful for what I have and what is coming my way. But there are a couple of things which I really wanted to do with my blog and there is something which stops me from doing it. I am visually impaired; that means in simple language I cannot see. I am not totally blind; there is some amount of vision left out which helps to see the world and its beauty to some extent. The beautiful flowers, birds and colors of the world ask me to watch them as I walk, talk, think, etc."

Over the years I have worked on a fair number of disability issues and have developed some strong views on many of them. Post yours and let’s engage in some intelligent and respectful discussion and debate on our disability passions. One of my passions is accessibility, and in particular access to information."
Vision Web Sight
http://visionwebsight.blogspot.com
"There is such a wealth of information and help out there for blind and visually impaired people, but often it is difficult to track down. I decided to start this blog to create a place where all this knowledge can be accessed. Blinkie Photography
http://blinkiephotography.com.au
"Photographer Andrew Follows, suffering from retinitis pigmentosa, a degenerative ocular disease that renders me legally blind and reliant on my guide dog Eamon to move about. When I take a photograph I do so because in that time and place I cannot see what the camera can, yet I know that image, that event, will be waiting for me when I am ready and able to view it. In this way, the camera becomes my eyes and my photographs my only way of experiencing a past moment from which I am otherwise excluded. Instead of wallowing in what I cannot see I become excited by what I can."
62nd Street Blog: Blind Guy with Power Tools
http://62ndstreet.blogspot.com
"Our house is like a museum of 1920s America: we have a player piano, a reed organ, a victrola, phones that either have rotary dials or no dial at all (and have to be held in two hands). We recently installed 100-year-old radiators to replace the horrible forced air heating system."
Understand Connect Respect
http://ladyindigo217-leadwithfaith.blogspot.com
"This blog will serve as a method to blend the visual and non-visual worlds. I have been visually impaired since the age of seven. I have lived on both sides of the fence. My Blog
Hi. I blog at www.audreysaudities.com. I'm a blind attorney interested in sports, cycling, rowing and assistive technology among other things. I write about my experiences and observations. If you look at late 2005 into 2006, there's some interesting stuff about my transition to blindness. I also wrote about getting my guide dog in August 2007. It might be helpful or interesting to some. I hope you will consider adding it to your list. Thanks and keep up the good work. Audrey

I'm so happy to find this list. I recently started a blog documenting my journey of applying for a guide dog, and other "blind stuff". I've been blind a year and a half, and its wonderful to find and connect with others in the blog world. My blog address is http://raynaadi.blogspot.com/ if you'd like to add mine.
Thanks!

A Blog to Include
I am blind and have started a blog on WordPress.com, thanks to Anna Dresner's "Blog On". You can check out her blog, nbpupdates.wordpress.com. My blog features daily jokes and more. I figured there are many blogs about blindness and wanted to do something different. You can check my blog at www.sillyez.com.
Re: A Blog to Include
Hi! Thanks for reminding me. I'll add you to our list for sure.
Carrots Make You Blind?!?!
I write a blog documenting my daughter's journey with congenital bilateral cataracts. The information is local to Calgary, Alberta, Canada, but I have many online resources as well. My blog is geared towards children with vision issues, and helping their parents cope. I realize my daughter is no longer considered blind or low vision, but I would hope the information I have to share is relevant enough to be shared with your readers. Thank you!

Please Add My Blog to this page :)
Hi I have been keeping a daily online blog now since October 2003. I have albinism and registered legally blind, am the mother of six children, a knitwear designer and have a really hectic life. I blog about my daily life usually in friends only posts so one would have to join livejournal.com and add me as a friend in order to read them, and public posts which mostly relate to my loom knitting designs with some family stuff thrown in here and there.
Thank you

Re: Please Add My Blog to this page
Hello Helen:
I've added your LiveJournal blog today. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
Please add my blog postings to your sight.
I am trying to create a blog post that will inspire web based knowledge on where all can come and join together and share the technology and advancements that have come across our paths. With
The masses so we all can be in lightened and sighted as can be. In order for their to be new sight, their has to be new ideas, so we figured that their
Should be one place where all this can meet. Well that’s here, but to make it all work we will need your help. So please post any comments that you think may be helpful to others. In their pursuit of advancement of seeking new way’s and ideas of learning how to live and not be looked at as someone who is damaged in a sighted world, With new sight or a version of what we will be calling it. We can reprogram the world to look at
The blind as an alternative way of vision Instead of the norm, in which we are broken, because the thought is if your eyes don’t “work, Then you really can’t see by their standards. Well I already know that is not true. For I have
Better then 20 20 sight now and I see even better than I could before, for yet I see straight to the soul AND listen to the heart and content of the SITUATION, Instead of the outside things that will distract someone. Thus showing your eyes don’t equal true sight. Yet it is your minds eye that gives you true sight.
Thank You
