The mission of the Lighthouse for the Blind is to assist individuals who are legally blind to maintain dignity and independence by making available employment, education, and support services.

Since 1940, the Lighthouse has supplied a variety of goods and services to the Federal Government. They currently operate two manufacturing facilities and run the Scott Air Force Base switchboard operation and have extensive lab facilities and an experienced technical staff that develops, formulates, and produces new products.
