The Lighthouse of Manasota was established in 1987 by a group of concerned citizens in Manatee and Sarasota Counties.

Services include:

• Low vision Support Groups and Clubs meet monthly at locations throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties
• The Independent Living Adult Program offers training in adaptive methods for performing everyday tasks
• Orientation and mobility training
• Transportation
• Self-advocacy training
• Children's Early Intervention Program
• Retail store for adaptive aids and devices
• Volunteer programs
